Too many people can remember the rock band The Who. There were many who loved this band. The music that they produced was phenomenal. This is to say the least about this album. However, the most well known album that they were in concert halls playing this was the fourth album that they have put out.

Tommy (The Who)

The fourth album that The Who has put out was Tommy. For many, they thought this was very colorful. The English population where The Who originated was said to be a new genre and be a part of the new generation. While some thought they were a masterpiece, there were others who just didn’t know what to think about them. However, many saw how welcomed to many different concert halls and so forth. They rocked out and there were tons of people who loved this.

They even debated about what this could be called as they took center stage to make a production using this. Some say it was a rock opera. However, there are others that say that this was something other than this. Many thought it was something different but these types of half concerts, half plays were very popular during this time. There was no dialogues and other things that make it so that it can’t be considered a rock opera. Due to the popularity, in 2003 this was named as number 96 when you look at Rolling Stones list of the most favorite. This was 96 out of a 500 which isn’t bad when you stop to think about it with having been on a list of 500. The work was something that many weren’t accustomed to but many however loved how it was created and put together.

The royal family has always been something that many love. It is a family that many love to keep in the loop with and honor as well. So, it was no surprise that the Royal Albert Hall was to look like the concept of the Central Hall that Prince Albert had. This hall would help the people of England to understand and fully accept the arts. This stands in the South Kensington Estate and surrounded by a ton of museums and other things that offer a way to learn about the arts.

More Information

The doors to this hall had opened in 1871. It is considered to be a Grade I building. Since they opened the doors, there have been many uses as this can have many venues going all at one time. This had other purposes as well. Some used it to have conferences and other things of the sort. They also used this to have award ceremonies. This is said to be a registered charity. Financially it is self sufficient, but this charity was donated to the people. Due to the fact that it pays its own, it does not get any money from the government.

There have been many famous people who have performed here. In fact, there is a long list of those who have performed. Some that you might know have been Frank Sinatra, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, and many others. There have been famous speakers that have used this as well such as the Majesty the Queen, Winston Churchill, Bill Clinton, and many other world famous people. There are many others who have performed here as well.

Many people remember the band named The Doors. They also remember the movie that was created about the band. This was called The Doors which was directed by Oliver Stone. This was to show the life of the lead singer who was Jim Morrison.

More about The Doors

There was a great cast which was a part of this movie that played at many concert halls. Who are some of the people who have played a part in this? There was Meg Ryan, Pamela Courson, Kevin Dillon, and many other people. Back in the day, many remember that Morrsison was the icon of the 60s, this film portrays him. He played exactly as many remembered him and this paid tribute to him. In the movie, he lived a promiscuous life, full of drugs and alcohol. That is what everyone remembers and the music that was a part of this was remarkable. This is what people remember about him. However, the family and friends of him didn’t appreciate this. Though, many liked that they could see into his life through the same form that he enjoyed which was music.

Music lived on and this film got some pretty interesting ratings. We could see why when one sees it. It was the first film that looked at the personal life of a rock star that changed the time in which he was from. These movies had an element to them that many have never seen before. It was amazing watching it as it had a plot, but concert music as well.

There are many who love Australia. When you look at this, there are many others who love opera. Therefore, it is no wonder that they love the Sydney Opera House which was built by Jon Utzon in 1973. So it’s one of the younger ones.

How it Compares Today

The Sydney Opera House has come a long way. It is one of the greatest buildings in the world to this day. When it comes to performing arts, this has it made. The view of it is one of the greatest as well as it is centered on the Bennelong Point in the Sydney Harbour. This is rather close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The thing that people love is that there are always performances going on. There are a number of them at one time. It is said that over a million people are at this place every year. They have over 1500 performances per year and there are multiple performances going on at the same time. This is one of the most populated areas in Australia and is said to have over three hundred thousand people who take a guided tour of the building. This is ministered by the Sydney Opera House Trust and is under the New South Wales Ministry of the Arts.

As mentioned, they have a number of performance venues. What are some of these? These are: the concert hall, opera theatre, drama theatre, playhouse, the studio, the Utzon Room, and the Forecourt. All of these place come together to bring about the best performances to the people here who love the arts and the great things that come with it.

In Milan, Italy, there is another concert hall for which is very famous. This is named La Scala. This is said to be world renowned. This opened in 1778 and the first person to have done a performance was Antonio Salieri where he performed Europa riconosciuta. Here, you can read more about La Scala.

How It’s Viewed Now

There are many who say that this opera house is still one of the leading ones in this day and age. The thing that one must remember is that many ballets are performed here. For two hundred years, many have thought to have begun their career here. There are three main things that are known to perform here. The first one is La Scala Theatre Chorus. The next was La Scala Theatre Ballet. The last was La Scala Theatre Ochestra.

With this theatre house, they have done great things for the community from bringing in people all the way to starting a school. This school which is known as La Scala Theatre Academy has a goal to train future people of the arts. Here, they train up and coming people to sing, dance, do stage craft, and much more. It is interesting for how this operates. They open on December 7. The performances have to end before midnight and then you will find that if it is a longer work, this takes place during the day but earlier than one might expect.

The architecture here is amazing as well. That is one of the great things that people love about this. They love the fact that there are paintings and other things that one can find when they first walk in which really makes you appreciate the art.

One of the best music halls in the United States would be the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. This is located in Rockefeller Center. Many know this as the showplace of the nation. For New York City, this is the most populated center and has been since it began the business it is currently known for in 1978.

In Depth Information

This design that many love to come to see is given the credit to Edward Durell Stone for whom created the design. Many love the way the inside looks. This fame is given to Donald Deskey.

Now, many do not know this, but the name that it has now was not it’s original name. the name that it was going to be given was the International Music Hall. The only reason that they went with Radio City is all due to the previous owners which was The Radio Corporation of America. This opened in 1932 with the first show being Ray Bolger and Martha Graham. This first idea didn’t do the trick. It was long and not what people were looking for. In 1933 they tried something different. They tried films. By the 1970’s though, this then turned into something more.

Due to the way the films were distributed and because they liked to show G-rated movies, they could no longer show films. It was just too hard. So it became a concert hall and has continued to be so to this day. It went through a renovation in 1980 and then reopened to the public and has been going strong ever since. Many love to come here for three awards programs that are very well known. These are the MTV Awards, Tony Awards, and the Grammies.

Germany is known for a lot of things. One of the things that they are known for is Old Opera Frankfurt. There are many who have found that there were some great works that had premiered here. However, it has a long history that one might not be aware of.

History of Frankfurt

This is one of the oldest in Germany and around in general. This opened in the 1800’s. Many love the way it was designed. All that fame is due to Richard Lucae who was the architect of it. However, it was not cheap. This was financed by the people of Berlin.

Throughout the history of this, there have been many guests to have seen operas. It was almost completed and many never thought this would have worked. There were many who weren’t too sure about it. However, during World War II it was destroyed and many were devastated. They were to construct a building to replace the ruins of it, but the people knew that it would never again be the same.

However, they took the initiative. The people, who were skeptical at first, saw how this has come to be. Therefore, you will find that there are many who bonded together to get the five million dollars it would take to bring it back to the people. Therefore, they created a new one in 1981. Many have been happy and the plays continued. There are many who have been invited to perform here. It is still going strong and giving the community the operas that they so love. They have made many famous in Germany with their singing.

Though Michael Jackson might be gone, there are many who remember him. They love his music and many have talked about the concert movie of his. This is Moonwalker. Here is what people love about this and if you haven’t seen it, then you might very well want to.

Moonwalker (Michael Jackson)

Dataing back to 1988, there are many who remember having gone to see this. There are many who remember that this movie was in many concert halls around the area as he was a legend that was making his name well known. This included part of him in concert as well as portrayed him as the main character.

The cast was amazing. It had of course Michael Jackson. However, it starred other people. The cast included: Joe Pesci, Sean Lennon, Kellie Parker, Brandon Quintin Adams, and many other people to name. This movie starts out one way, but then gives you an inside glimpse through Michael Jacskson’s career. Then, you are given a parody. It takes you to Michael being chased by fans and more. Little did they know at the time that Michael Jackson would be this hit wonder who many would mourn when they died.

While you might not think that this is the movie for you, you cannot knock it until you try it. There were many who didn’t think that this would be a big hit. This was because of the fact that no other video has been done like this before. Now, you can see it. You can see that it has made him very popular. In this day and age, those who own copies of it might very well be in the money as since he has passed, the memory of him remains.
