There are many who love Australia. When you look at this, there are many others who love opera. Therefore, it is no wonder that they love the Sydney Opera House which was built by Jon Utzon in 1973. So it’s one of the younger ones.
How it Compares Today
The Sydney Opera House has come a long way. It is one of the greatest buildings in the world to this day. When it comes to performing arts, this has it made. The view of it is one of the greatest as well as it is centered on the Bennelong Point in the Sydney Harbour. This is rather close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The thing that people love is that there are always performances going on. There are a number of them at one time. It is said that over a million people are at this place every year. They have over 1500 performances per year and there are multiple performances going on at the same time. This is one of the most populated areas in Australia and is said to have over three hundred thousand people who take a guided tour of the building. This is ministered by the Sydney Opera House Trust and is under the New South Wales Ministry of the Arts.
As mentioned, they have a number of performance venues. What are some of these? These are: the concert hall, opera theatre, drama theatre, playhouse, the studio, the Utzon Room, and the Forecourt. All of these place come together to bring about the best performances to the people here who love the arts and the great things that come with it.
